Kindly clarify the following:
We belong to OBC category and now we need to get OBC non-creamy layer certificate for my son, for college admission:
Myself: working in a private company and earning about 6.5 Lakhs per annum.
My wife: Working in Govt. as Class II officer, earning about 6.3 lakhs per annum;
So combined together our annual income is about 12.8 lakhs per annum.
We do not have any other source of income.
Please confirm that whether we are eligible to get OBC - Non creamy layer certificate for my son. As the rule indicates that both are Class II officer then creamy Layer. In our case, how it will be interpreted; as I am working in a private company.
Further, the rule says that, salary income need not be considered for calculating gross income of the family and only the income from Business/Trade or other sources of income should be considered. If the income from other sources is above 4.5 Lakh, then Creamy. Apart from salary we do not any other income. So, whether we are eligible to get OBC non creamy layer certificate?
In our case, Only my wife is a class II officer and I am working in private company.
However, our total annual income is above 4.5 Lakh/annum, but, as per the rule, the salary income is not considered, but other sources of income., i.e., income from business, trade etc., ?? In this situation, whether we are eligible to get the OBC non creamy layer certificate??.
